Dr. Mortland was born and raised in Shoreview, MN a northern suburb of St. Paul. She recently moved to the Phoenix area to be closer to family and escape the cold winters!
Dr. Mortland is a Board Certified Pediatrician, a Pediatric Hematologist – Oncologist, and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Mortland completed her undergraduate education at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology and was an active member of the Women’s Soccer Team.
She attended medical school at Ross University and then completed pediatric residency at the University of Florida.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Mortland completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Mortland practiced as a pediatric oncologist for 3 years in Milwaukee and then moved to Arizona to join Agave Pediatrics and to pursue her passion of primary and preventive care.
Dr. Mortland’s philosophy is that everyone deserves the best care
each and everytime. Each child is unique in their own way and their care
should be individualized to their needs and be accomplished by a team
effort and common goals of each patient, family and their provider to
work together to do what is best and provide the best possible care for
Dr. Mortland and her Husband Corey have two young daughters, Peyton and
Teagan and a very energetic red and white Irish Setter, Gabe.
