Vaccines Save Lives. Call Agave Pediatrics to Protect Your Child.
Childhood vaccinations are extremely important in preventing a number of
diseases—many of which can be fatal or cause lifelong disability.
Thanks to immunizations, diseases that once claimed thousands of young
lives are now rare and preventable.
Diseases that are now preventable through vaccinations include:
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Influenza / flu
According to a report from the United States Centers for Disease Control
& Prevention (CDC), immunizations saved over 732,000 children’s
lives and prevented approximately 322 million cases of childhood sickness
during the 20-year period between 1994 and 2004. If you have questions
about vaccinations and how to protect your child against preventable diseases,
we encourage you to visit the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention
website for more information:
At Agave Pediatrics, we respect each parent's right to choose their
child's course of health care delivery. Although we recommend the
American Academy of Pediatrics vaccination schedule, we gladly accept
patients with alternate vaccination schedules as well as those who choose
not to vaccinate.
