Agave Pediatrics

Agave Pediatrics is founded on a single idea - that medical care for children should be about children, not just their illnesses. We invite our parents, many of whom are new to their roles, to consider Agave their “healthcare family.”

Our award-winning facilities are designed to be warm, personal, and inviting. When children come to Agave, we want them to experience top-quality medical care without losing the human touch that draws so many of us to practice medicine. Our focus on meeting individual and family needs by providing well-rounded support, in addition to our commitment to increasing access to healthcare within our community, has helped us grow from a "solo" practice to a group of providers spanning four offices with countless excellence awards. Agave Pediatrics is here for you; we’re proud to service the Greater Phoenix Metro area to include Scottsdale, Chandler, Anthem, Peoria and Glendale.

    Tongue Tie

Tongue tie or “ankyloglossia” occurs when a baby’s lingual frenulum is too tight, too short, or too thick. The lingual frenulum is the small band of tissue that connects the underside of the tongue to the floor of the mouth. When this tissue restricts the tongue’s reach, an infant may not be able to properly latch when breastfeeding. Although research varies, some medical professionals estimate that as many as 1 in 10 babies suffer from tongue tie.

Childhood vaccinations are extremely important in preventing a number of diseases—many of which can be fatal or cause lifelong disability. Thanks to immunizations, diseases that once claimed thousands of young lives are now rare and preventable.

    Same-Day Sick Care

Is your child sick? We encourage you to contact Agave Pediatrics immediately. Our team will do our best to see your child on the same business day you call. Please note that we cannot always guarantee a same-day appointment; in some cases your child will need to be seen the next morning. Depending on the severity of the illness, our care staff can offer triage and guidance over the phone to help you provide care to your child.
